- Before losing, bargained with devils to gain Hellish powers to win the war. In exchange, they promised their souls.
- Created the Warforged race and the Battlegolems.
- Remaining Shadarites are tainted by devil blood and they worship Devil princes of the Nine Hells.
- When Shadarite dies, his or her soul goes to Hell.
- Rest of the humans see them as dangerous and malevolent creatures.
- Most of the Shadarites live in the Shattered keep in the ruins of their former nation.
- Few have ventured out of the Ruins, to explore the world
