Ferrum Corona/Ael Thayr

• Nation of elves in the middle of hobgoblin empire
  • Elves fight guerilla warfare againts the goblins in their forest nation of Ael Thayr
  • Live with their beast companions
  • Capital and only remaining fortress is the fabled hidden city of Mor Khani (City of the Diamond Dragon, Timanttilohikäärmeen kaupunki). Guarded by strong enchantments, Mor Khani spreads over vast area under the forest in ancient caves of unknown origin.
  • Mor Khani houses the rest of the elven population, only ~2000 strong.
  • Elven king Garan'dil was captured by the hobgoblins and is held in unknown place.
  • Now the elves look up to his daughter, princess Li'ara, who is struggling to get a hold of his responsibilities.
  • Daryn half-elven, step-brother of Garan'dil, who had been the old king's prime counselor, tried to seize power from the young princess using an ancient custom that says under-aged ruler should have a Guardian to rule in his or hers place. Furthermore, he tried to cement this by forcing a marriage with the young princess, so he would become a king.
  • Danyr did not succeed and left Mor Khani in a hurry, after public shaming by the princess at their wedding.
  • Nobody knows where Danyr wen't, but everybody knows he didn't harbor much love for his old home.
  • Li'ara has sent elven scouts to track down his uncle, before he does something not wanted.
